Haiku - I Want To Know

I want to know why,
The sky is grey but not blue,
Solemn clouds pass by.

I want to know why,
The leaves fly with the wind, and
Bid the tree goodbye.

Inquisitive heart,
Balqis

  1. Hi balqis, i don’t think the leaves flirted with the winds, I think the tree divorced them- too many. Lol. I got this hangover from sardonic salad.

  4. This haiku is a tiny bit somber I do like it but I hope it doesn't mean your feeling a little low at the moment

  6. @frisso - Thank you for liking it. I wrote this haiku on a cloudy day. That's when I got the idea. It sounds somber but I'm fine here. :)

  7. Sometimes poetry/haiku can be literal other times figurative, I have trouble telling the difference sometimes.

Happy to hear this one was more literal and your fine :)

  13. Mesmerizing moments where you just stare into the yonder world,
and ponder upon thoughts which in the course of time are articulated and unfurled...

  15. there are no moment in my every visit that you dont astonish me with your haiku.

I do realize that it's true we have a lot of simple question and yet the answer is so complicated than the question it self. Sometimes the shorter the question the harder the answer.

BTW - I have something for you in my blog please do visit it. :) hehe

  18. This poem reminds me of a momentary - or longer - ignorance that i sometimes feel at the outcome of something i can't control. And only later i eventually gain the wisdom behind leaves separating themselves from those things to which (i thought) they belonged eternally. I wrote something similar in y one blog, called The Garden Pot. Except, it's in prose.

I actually came on here to say that i saw your blog post listed as one of the 'top topics in blogosphere' on the bloggers homepage. Congrats:)
