The Heart Flies With Them

Where had they gone to? Once there were white storks that used to look for big insects for the feed of the day among the short green, green grass at the end of the field. Only once in awhile, they flew for safety when there were  sounds of roaring engines' planes coming close to the airstrip at the times for landing. Like a big umbrella, they rose and flew together as a flock to one direction, keeping themselves safe from being hit by the plane. Then, they were back again landing on the same grass and carrying on their daily chores till they were full.

They came in big flock that looked like a big white sheet spread on the grass and so eye-catching from afar.  Their presence became the attraction of the town and  so popular, thus they could be found on signboards and even in concrete forms as beautiful statues which symbolize this place as a coastal town. They had occupied that piece of land for a long, long time. But as the town grew into a concrete jungle, the flocks seemed dwindling away. Any nature lover who had seen these white storks would miss them; their beautiful sight in the dewy morning and even against the orange evening rays they were very diligently making the last hunt of the day.

Survival seems inevitable on what is left and would be a rare sight  to see them even in a small group. How lonely and distress the heart of  a lone ranger stork walking the same place which had been reduced in size and which offers so little as a hunting ground.  The rest of the flocks must have ventured far till they meet a suitable place which could ensure the continuation of  the next generations. Without much of them around, it saddens one true nature lover whose heart flies with the rest who take flight to an unknown place with no promises of another paradise.

Sunday Haiku - The Search

 In the search for peace,
In this path of thorns I trudge,
 It is pricking bad.

Idyllic

Sometimes ,
When I am on the verge of breaking down,
My mind would drift far to a place so idyllic,
Would I be the lucky one to roam its beauty,
Would I have a moment to inhale its pure air,
And swim along the silver and golden fishes
in its crystal clear water, heaven knows how,
Idyllic it is that I'd never know the differences
of day and night, for both have equal beauty.
The stars are diamonds that brighten up the night,
The sun is ever giving and ensuring life to go on,
This is where I yearn to be, in an idyllic place,
Where flowers smile everyday and happiness
is everywhere, everything a stunning beauty.

My dream of dreams,

Haiku - I Want To Know

I want to know why,
The sky is grey but not blue,
Solemn clouds pass by.

I want to know why,
The leaves fly with the wind, and
Bid the tree goodbye.

Inquisitive heart,

The Art Of Letting Go

Going through a tiring day and now I'm at a loss of words. I mean words  for this blog.
I'll let you interprete what you can see from the image above.
The key words are "Letting go."

In my own words :

When I hold on,
I'm not a winner.
When I let go,
I'm not a loser.

If Love's A War

Love is like war : Easy to begin but hard to end.
                                                           - Anonymous
Balqis's personal views :

LOVE, a small word but carries thousands' meanings. When in love, everything is beautiful and the feeling is so wonderful beyond description. Love defies all barriers. Come what may, be it crossing the sea of evil, climbing the mountain of thorns, walking the road of dangers or trekking the jungle of obstacles, a madly in love couple could endure all.

Like a story; love has its beginning, rising climax, climax and anti-climax.  Initially, love is always at its best. It grows and blooms beautifully. Everything is at its extreme feel-good.  At most times, the couple are lost in the world of their own. But along the way, some unforeseen circumstances might occur. It affects the warm glow of love to become dim .... slowly. And certain things start to crack.

I ever said : Be it the fire of separation nor the evil of temptation will ever separate us.

Now, I am wondering how could I ever come up with such a very powerful statement? The answer lies in the heart sizzling with love.

Enough, I'm not going to elaborate more on this.

Let me ask you :
How do you define love?

*My current favourite song, "Just The Way You Are" by Bruno Mars. I am captivated by the beautiful lyrics that talk about love, admiration and beauty of a beloved person.

When I see your face
There's not a thing I would change
Cause you're amazing
Just the way you are
And when you smile
The whole world stops and stares for awhile
Because gal ( I'd change this to "guy", sorry Bruno)
You're amazing
Just the way you are
