I Go A-Rambling

It's strange; sometimes ideas run smoothly just when
my ink pot is about to dry up.

What Life Is

Image : Google

Just couldn't resist
the aroma of  Arabica
tempting my nostril
and
take it or no?
never mind
will take the risk
of counting sheep
till dawn.....

Speechless

when you're speechless
I'm speechless
who could blame it
breeze stops blowing
we feel the heat
but who would complain
trees standing still
like toy soldiers
no songs of birds
they lose their tunes
all seem void
until an ice-breaking
bringing back life
and sparkles in the eyes
conveying silent words
make us more speechless
how that could happen
I see me in your eyes
you see you in my eyes
does it really mirror
what lies deep within
that words could not explain
we remain speechless

This is nothing more than just a rambling and written based on my imagination. Actually, I was looking at my drafts which to date accumulate to 149 posts, either a quarterly done, half done, almost done or still a long way to reach the finishing line. This is among the ones I tried to complete and I think I've done it though deserve no credit. May be other posts will remain as drafts if words can't find their ways into them. Better, blame be on me!

If They Could Recall

In the pin drop silence of the night, sudden sounds of rain pouring,
at first just in little forms, I wanted to count them one by one
when the sounds became so beautiful -
like tiny drums' rolls the minute little droplets burst one after another upon touching the roof surface,
then they glided down the gutter and gathered as a small lively pool at the end of the road.

I started shivering when the coldness cloaked around,
did the droplets feel what I felt,
did they ever think the moment when the sun would drink them up, leaving no traces at all,
just a remembrance of where and when -
would they be shivering?

B l a n k

It is invisible in the whiteness of the sheet or darkness of the night,

It is there and it is called B L A N K,

And it does occupy the mind,  at times ideas all frozen,

B L A N K rules!

Limerick : Warning

Wondering why he felt  strange,
Suddenly losing his hunger pang,
How could not he be scared,
Seeing little duckling clad,
In shiny armour, within his range.

Time?

Sometimes I think this is the right time - a time for me to pen my thoughts. But sometimes when I have time, the thoughts procrastinate to flow from my little mind. There are times when I seem to grab all the thoughts from running out of time! I do have time because in a day there are 24 hours though sometimes, I think an extra time of up to 36 hours is needed to accomplish all my tasks on time.

Time sometimes plays with my emotions.  It makes me so jittery when I'm given a very short notice to deal with matters work-related in so little a time. This is when I'll skip my tea time, me-self time and blogging time. And  my superiors have all the times to instruct me to do work sharp on time!

At one time, I read Time Management. It's not because I can't manage my time. It's just that from time to time, I need to refresh my mind and see how much have I spent on time without letting it slips through my fingers one at a time.

People say time is precious. I wonder how many people do take some time to evaluate it. In the belief of my people, time always envies us. Why? It's because when we're handling certain work, time doesn't want us to spend an over-time on it. Instead we have to keep looking at the time before time's up!

Wishing everyone a great time this Sunday and at any other time!

Now, it's time to move on...

**If you have time, please read this. If not, keep it for next time. Do drop by again at any time.

A Hornbill Rambles

Each morning when she wakes up, she feels blessed to be able to see the light again after in darkness the past seven hours, that was when her whole being was at rest though her mind was wandering in dreamland. The fresh air and soft morning dew hydrate her soul and for another day, she feels there is life in her. She looks forward to seeing great things happening in the day though she might not see all. It thrills  her to bits thinking of the surprises she will get; the nice people she will meet, a sweet mail from someone - she hopes to get, meeting her mom and siblings and catching up some chats or simply tending to the flowers and making sure they are getting enough care to bloom beautifully. These are some rambling which resurface from the core of her heart.

Life has not been too beautiful but her thoughts make it beautiful. Sometimes, she feels she is lost in hopes, in dreams, but she still dares to dream like there never is any defying factor to it. Though it is a far reached hope to catch the glitters at the end of the tunnel, the hope is not yet totally lost in the debris of life. It is not an easy task to achieve triumphantly what she wholly desires. She could relate to the saying of her people -  it is not easy to achieve the best; it is not difficult to get the worst. Indeed how true it is. Wise saying can sometimes be a torch on a moonless night.

It is the year end now and she asks herself, what had she done the past 11 months? What is it that brings a significant change in her life and career? Believe it or not, she does not like to make resolutions because her resolutions will remain as they are till the end of December! Then again, some of the things she likes to do are like self-empowerment which boosts her spirit to look at the positive side of things; other than that, her commitment  in completing the tasks assigned to her – not to please her boss but more towards her responsibility and fulfilling it. After all, she is paid. Arggh…that familiar line which makes her ponder whether she lives to work or she works to live. Whatever! What is important, she is surviving.

The sudden burst of fire crackers startles her. Oh! Why so soon when New Year will only be celebrated in about three weeks’ time?  Some people are too anxious. She giggles. She is also wondering how the celebration will be this year. Once, during the display of fireworks in her home town, the firecrackers were shooting sideways instead of upwards. What a bad start of the year!

December is always a cold month; snow in the west, rain in the east. Somehow in her heart there is always a flame burning which makes her feel the warmth , be it for herself or her special thoughts for those she cares.  Before the month ends, she will be gone but not too long.

Today's Thought

A fine morning here which is quite a contrast to yesterday when it rained quite heavily. The sun has not really shown itself yet but I am hoping it to bring a wide smile for me today so that all  pairs of jeans I hung out there on the veranda will get dry soon.

It is quite cold right now partly because I am in an air-conditioned room! I do not really like to pull aside the curtains because I like the coziness of my room with minimum light for me to keep typing on this keyboard. While my fingers keep dancing on the keys of my laptop, the air-condition is producing a soothing sound and harmonizes with my typing. It is kind of giving me the mood to keep writing and I let my mind wander to wherever it wishes to be.  And I am documenting it now in this post. *Smile*

A little sound somewhere down my neighborhood distracts me for awhile. I guess it must be the lid of the bin, you know when some people just let it go with a big bang. Poor bin! Such thing should be treated with care so that it will last. Furthermore, it is playing a big role by keeping the place hygienic when all unwanted things are put inside it.

Let's move on. My wish to hear the birds singing has just been granted. I just can't miss the beauty of their songs because it is so natural and so beautiful. Some are whistling,  some bubbling, while a few more make unique sounds I always love to hear. Among the branches of trees they gather and seem to have a morning talk. I wish I could understand them. Chirpy, chirpy birds, keep singing and make me happy!

While the birds are singing,  a sudden thought comes up when I recall what my grandma used to say once. She did not have a formal education but she was a wise woman

"Whatever you do, do it sincerely and do not expect others to do more than what you could do for them. You will get back only some of what you gave and you should be content with it."

How true your words are, grandma. I could quote you and I know you are proud of your granddaughter. Such a loving woman who was called to be with the Lord many years ago. She lives in my heart.

Now, it is time for breakfast! Will continue again at some other time. This is my gift for everyone of you - yellow roses which symbolize friendship.  Have a great day!
