When Nature Strikes

a ravaging wind,
roots look up at the dark sky,
steel posts kiss the ground.

in sheer craziness,
a turmoil unpredicted,
great pain felt later.

* I didn't intend, in the first place , to write another haiku but the idea suddenly came to mind after experiencing a terrifying moment on Saturday afternoon. A very strong wind hit our residential area. A canopy in front of my house was blown away! Things were flying everywhere. Something must have hit my arm which I had just realised. I feel the pain and there it is, a big bluish mark. Luckily, the wind didn't last long.

Haiku - I Feel The Pain And Sorrow

Oh! Tsunami...

(1)
Sudden appearance,
Panic-stricken every soul,
Mighty strike - all gone!

(2)
Cries replaced laughter,
Dreams shattered in split second,
Nature's outrageous.

(3)
Devastating sight,
Crippling the eyes severely,
What's left - ugliness.

(4)
Shocking incubus,
Ends when the sun smiles again,
Sprouting rays of hope.

*My blogger friend, Tertia (sixthirtythree), asked me whether I am interested to write a Haiku about tsunami that hit Japan. Her question had prompted me to write this Haiku which I divided into 4 parts  to differentiate the stages of its happening. I put my heart into every line.

In Loving Memory

A final goodbye was hard to say,
The thoughts of you forever stay,
Wish so much it didn't end that way,
How nice to be together everyday.

Days went by filled in happiness,
Thought that it would be endless,
My mind was a wee bit senseless,
How could I hold on to selfishness?

As though we were meant for each other,
High hope of loving and caring forever,
But our fates had been determined earlier,
Accepting reality in the face of fear.

Fear of losing seemed an absurdity,
To ward it off was an impossibility,
It had been destined by the Almighty,
What's left are all in sweet memory.

Memories for keeps,
