Thought

Image

I look at the sky,
I see the sun smiling.
My mind flies to you
in a distant land.
If the sky could mirror
what our days are like.
It would indeed be a pleasure
knowing what our chores are.
It has been awhile
but I haven’t disappeared,
not even dispersed among
the vapours that form the clouds,
not even gone among the wind
that blow towards the mountain.
This place I miss much,
a place that connects you and I,
and I am still here
waiting…

  1. The strains of waiting for a loved one can be most testing, frustrating even. Very realistically depicted. Wonderful write Balqis!

    1. Experience had taught you that, I guess so, Hank. Penantian itu satu penyeksaan, right? There goes a line in a song.

Anyway, I just penned my thought for this post. Thank you for commenting. Much appreciated! :)

  2. Wherever we are the sky, the sun, the moon and the stars remain the same. They are what connects us to our loved ones even if we are separated. You and I see the same sun.
    The thought is so beautiful.

    1. Glad that we're under the same "roof", Sui. Night and day change but what we see above us are still the same. That's universal truth.

I feel honoured reading your comments. Much thanks! :)

  5. Yes, it would be good to know what our lives are like. As Sui nicely said, we are all from the same world, our moon and sun ans sky and rain is the same. We are never too far away from each other. We are linked by an inivisible chain.
Thank you for this very nice poem Balqis, thank you for sharing with us your words.
    Take care.

    1. I didn't write for almost a month. Glad I was able to pen my thought again. Surely, I won't disappear too soon. Indeed, blogs are places for bloggers to unite. Thank you for your support. :)

  8. Life is so unfair, BB!

It gives us opportunities to be happy and sometimes lets us fulfill our most cherished wishes.

And then we can touch heaven with the hands...

Anyway, loneliness is our inheritance, we can be near in space but far away in feelings.

Or far away, and so close that it seems as if we are one heart only.

Waiting is a torture, you say, and we must wait since there is no other way.

The beautiful part of it all is that in the end we can hold the yearning in our quivering hands and enjoy the warm of love that is part of us.

You tell it so beautifully as you always does, and it is an exhalation of love that ends in happiness.

Thank you, for sharing so beautiful poem.

    1. Oh! You make me almost speechless, Od. I mean, what you said is heart-touching. You never failed to share your views which in one way or another are eye-openers or "heart-openers", if I could say so.

Life indeed has its balance of sweetness and bitterness, in certain way, it could be so unfair. But the reality is, that's life! We can't get it all, ya? Though deep in our hearts, we wish life could be so beautiful till the end.

Loved your comments which are so enlightening.

Thank you so much, Od! :))
