Precious Pearls

The precious pearls of my eyes, too beautiful to let go.
But when my heart can't hold them anymore,
They fall like torrents of rain on a hot summer day!

  6. I first admired the beauty of these words in my "newsfeed", which didn't include the image. It definitely is beautiful enough to stand on it's own but WoW! I sure do appreciate the beauty of the image as well!

Fantastic combination and like Marie, I've read it more than once :)

    Loved it!

  14. hello Balqis..and you are really a master of making Haikus..every word captured the real meaning of your chosen pix..so true sis when we are left alone and we have no one to hold on to..the best thing to do is to cry and just let our tears fall..sometimes silence with those tears is the best way to make our soul at peace after a heavy down pour..passing by sis ;)

  17. Hello.
I have often referred to tears as being precious pearls in a lot of my own poetry. This is simple, but it's very heartfelt. The imagery adds to the intensity.
    Well done!

  24. Dear friend,
Just let your kind eyes shed them. Only then, they may take visible forms of pearls and just let them drop gently beautifully so that they may make others feel how precious they are!

Just a new perception of mine!
    Friend, are you all fine?
