It Stopped By Our Hearts

Once
among those golden rays and hope
we sailed our dreams to unknown destination
giving us the thrills and put us in full anticipation
of what it held for us and that unknown place be our haven
little did we know what we hoped for were mere dreams
that stopped by our hearts once, then gone before the sun rose
leaving us gasping in the debris of hope
and we looked into the emptiness
till it was gone to
nowhere

  1. The sun dashed one's dreams where hopes remained unfulfilled. But hope was still necessary to keep things moving. Well crafted Balqis!

  5. Sad and true, BB

Our life is paved with alternate tiles of hope, and despair; lights, and shadows; lowly feelings, ans spiritual flights.

At the end the yellow path takes you to a real world where even fantasy is true!

    Wonderful and human!

    1. What you said are really true, Od. In life's journey, there are trials and tribulations. Not all wishes come true, so some remain as dreams. We'll accept that as part of life.

As always, your comments are much appreciated. Thanks, Od. :)

  8. You are already in 2014...

Grand and me, are sitting under the trellis full or mandrake and humminbirds nest. After midnight we will go to the beach to wait for the sun!

I know the new little lad that starts today will bring a lot of good things for you!!

    Miss you!

    1. Thank you, Od! Happy New Year to you, too!

Yeah, today I'm breathing the first fresh air of 2014. Mr Sun is smiling quite brightly, a relief from continuous rain the past few days which caused floods. Imagine, my town in floods! It became the headlines in news.

Wow! I imagine the beauty of nature you and your grand enjoy there. How nice waiting for the sun after midnight! :)

Hopefully, good things will be for all of us. :)

      Miss you, too! :))

  10. What a beautiful words to capture the Life!

"leaving us gasping in the debris of hope" - and that " till it was gone to nowhere" which eventually sparks something new! Thus we're human, and life goes on.

    Well done, BB!
