(i)
roses in full bloom
while the clock's hibernating
not a moment lost
(ii)
blue, yellow roses
the scent, undeniable
delighting my heart

I love roses - they give significance both to the one appreciating them and to the one who handed them to the other person :) so loving!
ReplyDeleteRoses symbolize something beautiful, be it in friendship or love life. You're right about its significance. Thanks, Ning, for your comments. :)
Deletebeautiful poetry...i love roses.
ReplyDeleteRoses should be our best friends. Thank you, Dana. :)
DeleteThe scent is unique, the flower is the 'Balqis' of flowers!
ReplyDeleteAs the Bard remind us in the beautiful voice of Juliet:
"What's in a name? That which we call a rose,
By any other name would smell as sweet."
But roses are so called by fate and we keep them near our heart!
Thank you, BB for this beautiful poetry!
I think I have to agree it's the 'Balqis' of flowers cos it's very well-known, beautiful, most sought after for many occasions and the scent is unique (quoting you). :)
DeleteThe Bard is correct. There's no other like the rose.
They will always be in or near our heart.
Thank you, Od, for reading my poetry and your kind words. :)
You wrote beautiful lines about flowers that enchant us and bring much love to the ones who know how to look at them.
ReplyDeleteStay well Balqis.
Roses are so beautiful and really amazing when each different color signifies something. Roses are flowers of love.
DeleteThanks for your warm comments, Marie.
You stay well, too. :)
Seize the moment and live it to the fullest as the roses are in their full bloom, looking prettiest and smelling so sweet. I might not see this beautiful moment again tomorrow so I quickly run to the garden and enjoy the beauty of nature, feeling so much of peace within and forgetting the busyness of life. Beautiful haikus, Balqis!
ReplyDeleteYou wrote so beautifully, Zunnur. I like your poetic comments. I could visualize how you run to the garden leaving awhile busy-ness. Seize the moment before it's gone. Such moment might not come twice.
DeleteThanks for your nice words. :)
I can smell the roses from your blog. It is delightful to me too. :)
