***This
is another attempt on Butterfly Cinquain which has 9 lines
with syllable counts
of 2,
4, 6, 8, 2, 8, 6, 4, 2.
Maybe Literature enjoys to create Butterfly Cinquaints or more brainy woven words, but they are not a problem to you, BB!
ReplyDeleteAnd if you have been on a offshore oil platform a night when the sea is serene, the sky cloudless, and the bright Moon start to rise until it occupy one third of the sky, the ending of your poem has a "new" meaning!
Beautifully done, BB!
I've always love Literature. As I delve more into it, I come across the beauty of many forms of poem writing which are arranged with loving art. May be to follow the counts of words or syllables do not pose much problem but to find the right words which have to be exact and memorable is really a great pain. I'm still in the journey of discovery in the world of creative writing.
DeleteThank you so much for boosting my confidence. It means a lot. :)
The rising moon always fascinates me. I used to watch the full moon coming up from behind the hills and how beautiful the colors are changing from red, to orange and gold, then to impassive yellow when it's already half way in the sky. I tried to express this in my Cinquain but to no avail! It's suffice for me to say that it's impressive and ageless because in every 29 days, it appears again.
I read your post "At sea,far away.." and you mentioned the mystic of a full moon mesmerized you guys. I imagine a big orange in the sky which seems so near that I can almost touch it!
Thanks so much for your kindness which makes my day. :)
Hey BB, you really seem to be a well accomplished poet!
ReplyDeleteTerima Kasih for sharing this :)

Indulging yourself in the beauty of nature boosts up your creativity and the result are beautiful words, as beautiful as the full moon, woven into a poem :)
ReplyDeleteI truly love these two line, Balqis;
"awed by the lovely complexion, utter silence intense"
