Useless

beautiful morning
a dog barking at the hill
will it be perturbed?

huffing and puffing
after barking at the hill
to move it elsewhere

A little note :

'A dog barking at the hill' is a Malay saying which literally means doing something useless.

  1. I'm sure that dogs 6th sense was kicking in. It knew something we didn't (thanks for the explanation too).

    1. It sounds a bit eerie. Dogs could sense well. Thank you for commenting, Rumpunch. :)

  2. Barking at the hill is something that I can do many times a day, only my barking is out of tune! :)

Your haiku is good, and thank you for teaching something from the Malaysian culture.

    1. LOL..Didn't know that you could bark that well, Od, but I have no comment for the tune! I'd still love your barking! :))

Thanks for your compliment. I love sharing my culture. May be we can learn something out of it.

  3. In simple terms it's a wasted effort with all the huffing and puffing. You brought it out very well Balqis! Great!

  5. It may seem the barking is useless but I'm sure the dog doesn't feel that way.

  7. Ï got a saying that "dog barks to those that he doesn't know". People bark on us because they don't know us personally. :)
