A Blessing.....

It's such a cold night after going through extreme heat the past couple of months. It has been raining since yesterday much to the relief of everyone. Most couldn't stand the heat and the downpour is a blessing indeed. This weekend is one kind I always look forward to. I spend much time at home with the usual chores though today I really pamper myself by waking up late.....hehehe....who wants to miss such opportunity when you don't have to rush for work. Today, I don't go shopping, the food stock's enough. Usually, I prepare special dishes for my family but today, I only prepare a simple one which is always a favourite. It's the chicken wings cooked in dark soy sauce and mixed with some local herbs. To complement it, I fry  mixed local vegetables and to bring out the taste, I use chicken stock and fish sauce. It does taste good!

On last Friday, I had a very simple lunch at SF. Wet kuey teow with beef which is always one of my favourites and teh-C special. The kuey teow is slightly with a different taste from KKB. I prefer the one at KKB cos it's really worth buying with an adequate amount of grade A beef, vegetables and kuey teow and the taste is fabulous!

This is what I had on last Friday. Does it look tempting??

Be Happy!

Earlier a friend showed a quote..."Choose a happy friend, to be happy."...there's so much truth in it cos from my own experiences when I'm among those who are sulky...the vibes tend to get hold on me and makes me likewise. And whenever I'm among those who are so motivational with an open outlook on most things, the positive vibes influence me making my adrenaline flows smoothly and there's this so-called a sense of  relaxation and well-being exist in me. Of course, we can't simply escape from the harsh life of having ups and downs which contributes lots of moods mostly pulling us to the negative side of it but then again life has to go on...as the saying goes...thus we have to switch our mind set to a brighter side of things.

I can't deny the fact that there are times when I feel everything's turning upside down but usually I pull myself together and say...hey! I deserve to be happy and petty matters are put aside for good. Problems? Yup...lots of it but we can always solve it one by one, right? There are many alternatives, either solved by ourselves or by talking about it with those whom we trust or seeking counsellors for support....if we could afford it. I firmly believe on the stance that there's always a solution to every problem. It all depends on ourselves to choose what's the best for us.

I like the line of a song, "Don't worry, be happy"....we do have worries over so many things...family, children, asset, finance and lots more....but if we keep on worrying, will we be freed of it or otherwise what goes around comes around and make the situations entangled and more complicated? The answer lies in us on what we really want.....to stay in a sticky situation or to get it solved to enlighten our minds. It may takes time, for sure and we can handle it within our own capacity. Not going over the limits, neither delaying it for fear of its buildup which might controls us. We have to stay firm by controlling our own lives, looking at the good side of it. The bottom line is be positive!

I'm not a motivator but every single line I write here comes sincerely right from my heart.

What A Relief!!!

It had been like looking for lost treasure when I had to scratch my head trying to recover my password for this blog. Was it due to negligence? I think so....hehehehe..I couldn't even keep it safely in my memory.....short term memory, that's it! Actually, I did jot it somewhere but where the heck is my notebook??? Seems to have disappeared into thin air....and for that I had been criticised by my hubby saying that I wasn't systematic enough in making sure everything's in place....You're right, sir!

It's another time around when I didn't update this blog for countless reasons....hehehe....Work! work! work!...I really feel that I need an extra two hands more to handle everything.....why are we trapped in such a situation that always make us end up with stress and whatnots....hmmm...looks like I've got to make an appointment with Evelyn, the masseuse.......she knows when my stress level is at a rise!

Many things happened the past few months. My mind is always here even though going through the hush and rush of life....it's just for another reason that I couldn't update little jottings here.....losing my password. The last half an hour...I was scrutinising the screen of this lappy as though my password would pop out right in front of me.....n luck's on my side when I put myself to a test by trying to remember all sorts of passwords I use for my emails.....and thanks for the effort.....at last I could get thru and here I am now. What a lucky day!

This morning and throughout the day at work I had plenty of time mixing around and joking with the staff.....I was so light hearted......I knew I got heaps of paper works.....but it wasn't a really hectic day like yesterday when the staff and I had to be so diligent handling so much data....everyone with a calculator in hand....one wrong step would result in having sleepless night......thanks to everyone.....the ordeal's over....the next step is to key in everything.

Looking forward to tomorrow!
