The Precious Gifts


I like reading inspirational and motivational quotes because some are really very meaningful which I could use as a jump start of my day. Even if I cannot follow closely and practice all the quotes but reading them could enlighten me and give my soul a feel good feeling. It makes me see the beauty of life, the differences it could make into others' life, the love it spreads among we children of the earth, the peace and harmony we could achieve by giving little gestures and the fulfillment we get when we could smile, at the same time bringing smiles to other faces.

How True Is It?

Yesterday, I attended a meeting with our head of department  and this was fed to our hearts. As usual,  motivation is given in every session to boost our commitments towards work. I feel freshened up with such motivation as sometimes the  mood at work might slowly goes "stale".

This isn't something new to some of you but anyway, it's alright to go through it again. It needs a little bit of mathematical calculation to see the results. Here it is :

Learn To Love Life

I read this for self-motivation. Everyone of us, once in awhile, needs to motivate ourselves. Life nowadays is always full of challenges. Wherever we are, in big cities or small towns, we do feel the same rat race life that gives us so much stress. We have to be strong enough to cope with it or else it will destroy us.

Sometimes, I really feel down. But I stop for awhile and ask myself, "What's worth for me to dwell in this mood? Sooner or later it will kill me!" I don't want it to have a control over me because it can turn out disastrous. I have to get rid of it and get moving. And getting rid of such mood is finding solutions to overcome it before it gets worse.

I am feeling sad right now. Hence, come up with these little scribbles. I don't want sadness to rule me.  The above quote is kind of giving me hope and there are many things to discover. I have to help myself though it is hard to face the challenges. Challenges will remain if I don't take any action to solve them.

I regard this as one of life's challenges. Life is so unpredictable with its ups and downs. The ups can be soaring sky high and the downs, might be like falling into a deep pit enveloped in darkness and helpless to find the way out.

I believe self-determination is significant in overcoming whatever comes my way.

Smell The Flowers



As usual driving back from work, I listened to the English section of the local radio station. I was mesmerised by the beautiful songs on air.  Furthermore, the Dj was so bubbly talking on many things. Before signing off, he was saying, "In the journey of life, do not forget to stop and smell the flowers."



"Smell the flowers", that is the saying I like most.  We often hear people say, "Go out, smell the flowers". I find that it is kind of inspirational saying it to someone who might be feeling down over unforeseen circumstances that had happened in his/her life.

As we all know, literally, it is not the act of holding a flower and smell it. It is more like an encouragement, reminder or motivation for everyone of us to take a moment off and enjoy the day. For some of us, the hustle bustle of life might have taken its toll on our lives, why not free our minds by going out and smell the flowers. Grab the wonderful moment even for awhile for we might not be able to enjoy such moment again. No matter how busy we are, just stop for awhile and smell the flowers.

Putting On My Thinking Cap

Life...could be so harsh when it is filled with so much injuries, leaving behind the deep wounds and ugly scars. The wounds which vary to a certain degree might be able to heal but the scars are a dreadful  sight, bringing back the pain and turmoil to the mind.

The common adage "Life has to go on" is somehow an aspiration to cling on and grasp the hope for a better tomorrow. By right, one cannot be deprived of one's right to enjoy the splendour of life but nothing is always smooth running. Ironically, while journeying through life, a tinge of the past is lurking somewhere rearing its ugly head waiting to pound off guard. Let's not be easily defeated by it. As much as we hate it, we still have to sail through the rough sea of life before landing in a promising destination of where everything is good.

Let off the steam, whatever that cannot be held on much longer; the agony, the sorrow, the fury... but let it be within bounds. The resentment should not build up like a dormant volcano, once erupted brings massive destruction beyond repair.

In every creation, there is the opposite. Adam was created for Eve, day is followed by night, where there is rain, there is shine....the bottom line is, with positive insight, the worse could become better.

A gentle reminder, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Go for it, sooner or later, you will reach it. It is only a matter of time.



PS What I wrote came to my mind for a friend, a sister, whose pain I empathize.

Be Happy!

Earlier a friend showed a quote..."Choose a happy friend, to be happy."...there's so much truth in it cos from my own experiences when I'm among those who are sulky...the vibes tend to get hold on me and makes me likewise. And whenever I'm among those who are so motivational with an open outlook on most things, the positive vibes influence me making my adrenaline flows smoothly and there's this so-called a sense of  relaxation and well-being exist in me. Of course, we can't simply escape from the harsh life of having ups and downs which contributes lots of moods mostly pulling us to the negative side of it but then again life has to go on...as the saying goes...thus we have to switch our mind set to a brighter side of things.

I can't deny the fact that there are times when I feel everything's turning upside down but usually I pull myself together and say...hey! I deserve to be happy and petty matters are put aside for good. Problems? Yup...lots of it but we can always solve it one by one, right? There are many alternatives, either solved by ourselves or by talking about it with those whom we trust or seeking counsellors for support....if we could afford it. I firmly believe on the stance that there's always a solution to every problem. It all depends on ourselves to choose what's the best for us.


I like the line of a song, "Don't worry, be happy"....we do have worries over so many things...family, children, asset, finance and lots more....but if we keep on worrying, will we be freed of it or otherwise what goes around comes around and make the situations entangled and more complicated? The answer lies in us on what we really want.....to stay in a sticky situation or to get it solved to enlighten our minds. It may takes time, for sure and we can handle it within our own capacity. Not going over the limits, neither delaying it for fear of its buildup which might controls us. We have to stay firm by controlling our own lives, looking at the good side of it. The bottom line is be positive!


I'm not a motivator but every single line I write here comes sincerely right from my heart.
