Once

among those golden rays and hope

we sailed our dreams to unknown destination

giving us the thrills and put us in full anticipation

of what it held for us and that unknown place be our haven

little did we know what we hoped for were mere dreams

that stopped by our hearts once, then gone before the sun rose

leaving us gasping in the debris of hope

and we looked into the emptiness

till it was gone to
nowhere

A young man fought with all his might,

To win a girl's heart was his target,

Another person won her attention,

A big, fat pocket was her mission,

So sad, the man walked out of the fight.

soft, dewy touch
brings hope to a cracked heart
rejuvenation

in between us

there are seas

I couldn't swim across

but the bridge of friendship

keeps us close

in between us

time and seasons change

nevertheless we are the same

travelling abreast in time

singing the same rhymes

in between us

our thoughts sometimes differ

yet each day we understand better

of who you and I are

the bond of friendship grows stronger
